Warnings about the most common used SMOKE DETECTOR and why we install combinations of both type during new construction and remodel. Plus a warning about our younger children not waking up when the alarms go off. Integrity Electric of the past seven (7) years have and will continue to install talking smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Yes they do cost more, but test show that they will save your family. In the event that you only have one powered smoke alarm in your home, we have wireless units that are interconnected without the added cost of running wires, cutting holes in your finished walls and patching extra holes that maybe needed to run the wires to each detector. It is recommended that you have a smoke detector installed in every bedroom not further away from the door then three (3) feet and another unit in the hallways, both levels of stairways. A carbon monoxide unit should be installed within ten (10) feet of every bedroom, not in them. Both smoke and carbon monoxide should all be interconnected so when one unit sounds, the entire system is activated.
